WIFT Alberta Presents

Coffee Chat: How To Be A Working Mom in the Screen Industries

Thursday, June 10, 2021

1:00 PM – 2:30 PM MST

Please come and join us for a coffee, let us know what you have going on, and talk about how to be a working mom in the screen industries.

One of our members reached out to us to ask for advice about working and being a mom at the same time. We thought there may be other people with the same question or people who may have some answers or be able to share what has worked for them. Please come and join us for a coffee and a chat. Space is limited to 15 people.

Message from the WIFTA Board

National Indigenous History Month & Launching Our Member Directory

June is National Indigenous History Month  and 2021 is dedicated to the missing children, the families left behind, and residential school survivors. With the recent news, we mourn with the rest of the country.

To help commemorate, CBC Gem is streaming twelve documentaries that explore the history of the First Peoples of this land, and introduce us to the activists fighting for a more equitable future.  Click here to watch them.

The new board is excited to launch our new website that includes a Member Directory and we would like you to be a part of it.  If you have not yet renewed or are currently not a member, as part of the renewal or joining process you will be invited to set up your profile.  Memberships run from April 1 to March 31.  If you have already renewed – go into the membership directory, scroll down, and select “Member Login”, enter your email address, and then select “lost your password”.  You will be sent a link to create your new password.

We would like to welcome new members: Mariah Braun, Lisa Jemus, Hannah Karvonen-Parsons, Barb Atamaniuk, Kiki Weise, Travis Whyte, Sarah M, Brenda Sevilla, Susan Cambridge and Michelle Wong.  Thank you to everyone who recently renewed.

WIFTA hires the occasional contractor when we have the resources to do so but for the most part, we are entirely volunteer driven.  We rely on revenue from membership to help run our organization.
