PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION: The goal of this presentation is to break down barriers to accessibility and inclusion by creating awareness and understanding about people living with disabilities. Voice of Albertans with Disabilities (VAD) gives interactive presentations about ableism, appropriate language and behavior, dignity, spoon theory and etiquette. VAD has also done research on women in film, who are also living with a disability and they will share their findings. The presenters themselves live with a disability, so they bring a personal perspective and experiences to the presentation through their own stories.
